Olivia joined our team in May this year with extensive project management experience, thorough understanding of knowledge exchange and impact best practice in a research environment, and knowledge of internal structures/networks at the University of Edinburgh. Olivia has indeed hit the ground running in her new role.

This World Mental Health day we want to give an overview of our projects working on the topic of mental health, as well as acknowledging why mental health is so important.

On the 26th August we hosted a webinar to showcase the fantastic progress our project teams are making across our portfolio of work. We were also delighted to officially launch our Impact Collaborations process with two new challenge questions.

Our Director Alex Hutchison takes stock of what it has been like to set up a (large!) global collaborative team to work on such an important project.

This Collaborative will deliver a portfolio of projects across a range of topics with a priority focus initially on Obesity, Poverty and Population Dynamics.
